Montauk Lighthouse, Long Island, USA

Montauk Point lighthouse's construction was authourised by George Washington and the 108' tower was completed in 1797 at a cost of $22,300. It is now maintained by the Montauk Historical Society and is the 4th oldest currently active lighthouse in the United States.
